Summer Traineeship: Junior Geoscientist – Work in Finland with Palsatech!
Ever thought about gaining international work experience in the exploration and mining industry? Through the EURES Targeted Mobility Scheme, you have the opportunity to join Palsatech Oy in Finland for a summer traineeship at our Exploration & Mining Service Production Team in Kemi.
This traineeship offers hands-on experience in geological work and field operations, helping you develop valuable industry skills in an exciting new environment.
What You’ll Do
As a Junior Geoscientist Trainee, you will:
Participate in exploration and mining service production at our Kemi facility
Work with geological sample processing and data handling
Have the opportunity to engage in exploration-related fieldwork
Learn industry-standard tools and processes in a professional setting
What We’re Looking For
Students or recent graduates in geology, mining engineering, or a related field Basic B driver’s license required Strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach to work Interest in both lab-based and fieldwork activities Ability to work independently and in a team Fluency in English (other languages are a plus)What We Offer
A full-time traineeship (approx. 3 months) between May 1st and September 30th (exact dates to be negotiated) Practical experience with an established industry leader A dynamic and supportive working environment A chance to gain insight into real exploration and mining operations Financial support through the EURES Targeted Mobility Scheme – If eligible, this EU-backed initiative can help with relocation costs
